July Delights For FPA FC: New Academy Recruits and An Unforgettable Presentation Day

A recap on FPA FC’s month, from team cup trophies to new football adventures. Achievements were acknowledged in this years presentation and fun day, also shown below.

Annual Presentation Day

On Sunday 14th July, FPA FC held their annual presentation day for everyone involved in the academy. The day consisted of fun activities, a live DJ and over 10 presentation slots awarding football talent over the last season. “Absolutely brilliant day for all kids, parents, coaches and managers. A fantastic club to be part of, so happy our boys are doing what they love best surrounded by the best people”, stated from a club members parent.

Each child received a trophy, recognising their hard work and outstanding football skills throughout training, matches and tournaments. Certain players were also rewarded with managers player and parents player. Speeches from key figures of FPA FC were given to everyone who attended, stating their appreciation towards the club and why they joined such an incredible team.

”I joined FPA as I was looking for some coaching hours after coming out of professional football. I never imagined we’d grow into one of the best grassroots football clubs in the North West with the best team of coaches, managers and volunteers”

Memorable moments for parents and children at this presentation day was from the entertainment and activities FPA put together. There was face painting, a bouncy castle, a soft play area, police and fire engine visits, a live singer, a DJ, and an asssalt course. A particular favourite was soak the coach, as seen on the right. Both, Adam and Sean, put themselves up on the soak the coach stand and endured a lot of wet sponges from a few FPA FC team members. Food stalls and a licensed bar was also availble for everyone in attendence as well as football pitches for more entertainment throughout the day.

FPA FC would like to thank Riverside Police Club for hosting the event, Taste of India Livepool for the amazing food served and Candlelight Comforts for the perfect balloon arch.

Team Success

FPA FC teams have had a very successful season and year so far which all managers are extremely proud of. From training to tournaments, some managers have spoken on their teams wins and progression throughout the season.

AJAX U8s

Manager David Burgess said, "Ajax U8s are carrying on from a successful U7 season having already picking up two cups up pre-season and progressing in their teamwork."

Torino U9s

This team have won both the Europa League and the Champions League in the NWP cup, as well as coming second in some very close finals. Most recently, the Sunday team won their summer league against some very good teams. "Their first season together, I've seen them grow massively", manager, Gary Collins stated.

Leverkusen U11s

Coahed by Jeff Gardner, Leverkusen U11s have recently become Edge Hill Cup Final runners up. They had the least goals conceded, no defeats and the most clean sheets. Unfortunetly, they lost in penalties by a Townsey Inter team.

"What a game to be involved in. It had everything and more you would want to see in a final. The lads gave their everything and more. I couldn't be more proud of how far they have come and how much they have matured over the season." ~ Jeff Gardner

FPA Belgrade

Throughout the 23/24 season, FPA Belgrade set achievable targets that they accomplished and fortunately won the MYFL league. The next goal in their development plus journey is the progression to 11v11 which is something both coaches and children are excited for.

New players have settled in well over the summer and will help with the depth of the squad. Their manager, Robin Hulbert said, "as a group, the summer rest will be important to reset, ready to go again. One thing that won't be questioned about the team is our commitment to make it work."

FPA São Paulo

Terry Brown coaches FPA São Paulo and is extremely proud of all their achievements this season. They have managed to win all their cups and tournaments the last few months which has shown their incredible skills and team work.
